Our site diaries move to the Canary app
From October every site diary is written in our own app, and clients can read theirs on the portal the same day.
From 1 October every Canary Constructs site writes its daily diary in the Canary site diary app, built by our in-house team, Canary Digital.
The app pulls the day's weather, the trades on site and any open defects from Procore, then asks the site lead three questions: what got done, what got in the way, and what's next. It takes about five minutes at the end of the day.
Clients see the diary on the Canary client portal the same evening. The idea is simple: if something is going wrong, you should hear about it from us that day, not at the next monthly meeting.
The app is still young. Canary Digital keeps its backlog in Jira and ships small changes most weeks. If you're a client and something in the portal doesn't make sense, tell your project lead.
